The AHD-WNL is a black-box PC with a closed operating system that has been specifically designed as a logging computer with logging functionality. The system enables the storage of system-relevant logging data and records measurement values and events captured via the ship’s network of the connected alarm and monitoring system. All collected data can be displayed on the ship system’s panel PCs or displays or exported in various formats. Data output typically occurs within the graphical system configuration through the embedding of so-called “logging pages.” These are created within the project-specific visualization and allow for the implementation of predefined query functions according to customer requirements. Frequently recurring queries of important data points or sensors can thus be executed easily and conveniently. Alternatively, there are two other ways to retrieve the data using external tools:
AHD-WNL processes all relevant information and transfers the measurement points and events assigned in the configuration to a solid-state drive (SSD). It can store up to 50 million measurement values and 100,000 events. The built-in battery pack ensures that the PC shuts down properly even in the event of a sudden power failure.
