AHD 882 is a central unit for recording, processing and distributing binary status data and analog limits (alarms, events, messages, etc.). The data (e.g. measurement data from sensors in a ship alarm, display and control system) is transmitted serially from decentrally connected external data stations and processing devices and processed via integrated alarm, display and control management.
AHD 882 offers 18 input channels for serial data collection from AHD-PS 15, AHD-PS 30, AHD-PS 47 (binary data station), AHD 414 (diesel start-stop status), AHD 414A (safety system status), EDA 47 (alarm panel status). Additional data points can be recorded and monitored via two CAN bus interfaces, including analog data from AHD-SAS 15 (analog station) or status data from AHD-DPS 02 (position lamp monitoring). All collected data is processed in accordance with the predefined project-specific configuration and made available serially as processed output data via the 16 available output channels. The serial protocol is compatible with the EDA 47 compact, AHD 406-2 standby alarm chamber panel and the AHD-R101 relay station. In addition, the data is transmitted via CAN bus and can be further processed by AHD-DPU 9 and other Böning devices.
A log printer or computer can be connected via the integrated RS232 interface to print out recorded messages or save them externally. Additional control inputs, acknowledgement inputs and group relay outputs expand the range of functions of the AHD 882 central unit for a wide range of applications.
