The AHD-DPS02 system is used to control and monitor position and signal lanterns on ships. In addition to the option of double supply (main and emergency supply), there is a direct circuit so that all position and signal lanterns can be controlled even if the electronics fail. Operating hours monitoring is also integrated to control LED lanterns. The system is modular and can therefore be easily adapted to the respective requirements. There are six versions available, which take into account different lamp voltages (24VDC, 115VAC or 230VAC) and lamp type (filament or LED). An installation consists of:
- AHD-DPS02 G14 basic module (with 14 channels)
- up to 4 AHD-DPS02 A07 series modules (7 channels each)
- AHD-DPS02 BS/B14... 42 control unit (various versions)
- optional switch units for basic or serial module (emergency control)
The lamp is controlled via a separate control unit; a switch with a control LED is provided for each channel. If there is a short circuit or a broken wire in a lamp circuit, an alarm is signaled for this channel. Control units are manufactured individually and can be delivered in various standard versions with switch series (AHD-DPS02 B14... 42) or with a customer-specific front panel design.
The CAN bus integrated in the basic module allows alternative lamp control via the touchscreen of a Böning display or PC from the AHD series. For the use of remote control, optional AHD-DPS02 E07... E14 switch units have been developed, which serve as an emergency control in the event of a malfunction. As a further option, various AHD-DPS02 GC interface modules are available, which can be plugged directly onto the basic module. Depending on the type, various protocols are supported, including Modbus (RS485/422) to control a VDR (Voyage Data Recorder).
