AHD-VDCU is a compact video router (switching matrix) with advanced control functions and serves as a central interface in the Böning video control system AHD-VCS. Depending on the version, AHD-VDCU has 8 or 16 RJ-45 interfaces to capture camera signals or other video sources and to control the supported cameras.
AHD-VDCU receives control commands via the integrated CAN bus from panel PCs, displays or the AHD-VCP video control panel. These control the video matrix (assignment of 8/16 camera inputs to 8/16 BNC video outputs) and allow the connected cameras to be controlled (positioning, zoom, etc.). If required, 2 AHD VDCU can be cascaded to capture up to 32 cameras. It is also possible to control 1 or 2 video QUADS.
The AHD-VDCU 16/16+16 variant offers an additional 16 BNC outputs, which directly output the captured video inputs while bypassing the video matrix. Here, for example, a multi-channel video recorder can be connected to continuously record certain video channels.
Note: Camera-specific signal converters AHD-VSC XX or AHD-SEC2 are required to connect to the approved and supported cameras.
