The AHD-EOP start-stop unit makes it easy to start and stop marine diesel engines. Instead of a conventional ignition lock, the AHD-EOP features integrated control buttons and transponder technology. This simplifies wiring and increases protection against unauthorized use. In twin engine systems, the engines are activated individually by transponder, with one key inserted into the slot of the corresponding AHD-EOP. In this position, the engines are ready for operation and can be controlled via the respective start-stop unit.
If there are several control stations, the system can be equipped with the AHD-DEOP expansion module. Multiple devices can be cascaded if required; the connection is pluggable and is made using pre-assembled cables. The AHD-DEOP can be used to start and stop two engines, provided that operation via AHD-EOP and an inserted transponder is enabled. The system has been optimized for MAN marine diesel engines (direct connection to the engine terminal box via connector X7), but can also be used with alternative engine manufacturers or variants using the “AHD-EOP adapter.
